We regularly see vehicles that had windshield work done at a shop that didn’t offer recalibration. Bring it to us and we’ll run a diagnostic scan first to see exactly what’s going on before we calibrate anything.
Often, yes, though it depends on your policy. Colorado law (C.R.S. § 10-4-613) requires insurers to offer a zero-deductible option for glass coverage, but that doesn’t automatically mean your plan includes it. If you carry comprehensive coverage, ADAS calibration is typically bundled in with a windshield replacement claim. We coordinate directly with your insurer, just request Peak as your preferred vendor and we handle the rest.
It can. OEM glass matches your vehicle’s factory specs exactly, including camera bracket placement, which sometimes makes calibration more straightforward. Quality aftermarket glass meets safety standards too and works fine for most vehicles, but certain luxury or exotic models require OEM glass for the camera system to calibrate correctly. We’ll tell you upfront if your vehicle falls into that category.
Static calibration usually runs 1 to 2 hours once your vehicle’s at our Silt shop, and dynamic calibration adds road time on top of that depending on your make and model. If you’re combining a windshield replacement with recalibration, we’ll build that into your schedule and give you a realistic pickup time when you book. Most Rifle customers are back on the road the same day.
